Sabin Hires Mary Schoen-Clark As New E.D.
SabinCDC is pleased to announce that Mary Schoen-Clark has been appointed to the position of Executive Director. A nationally recognized housing expert, Schoen-Clark was appointed to Iowa Governor Thomas Vilsack’s 2000 Housing Task Force, which spearheaded a tax credit for “hard to house” families in Iowa. Schoen-Clark has also been honored with the McAuley Institute’s “Courage in Community” Award.
As CEO of Oregon Coast Community Action (ORCCA) Mary Schoen-Clark lead the effort to construct a number of community facilities including a new Child and Family Resource Center, the county’s first regional food bank warehouse, and a Woman’s Shelter.
As the former founding president and CEO of MidAmerica Housing Partnership, Schoen-Clark brings with her a high level of experience in organizing innovative affordable housing, saving expiring use properties, state and national fundraising, and developing creative tenant services and programming for youth.
