Color logo  Color Outdoor Photo with PeopleSabin CDC has partnered up with Willamette Weekly’s Give!Guide campaign for 2019 to raise money for the Sabin CDC Green Space Campaign.  Our goal is to raise $12,000 by December 31st 2019.

As a part of the Sabin’s focus on equity and environmental justice, our organization is committed to creating space for our residents to actively participate in making their neighborhood a more sustainable place for the benefit of all. Sabin CDC is intentionally prioritizing our residents’ health and sense of belonging by adding new pollinator and vegetable gardens to the grounds of six of our existing properties and to the rooftops of our two buildings that are scheduled to break ground in 2020. Because green spaces have been correlated with improved mood, decreased stress, and an increased sense of belonging in neighborhoods nationwide, benefits are far reaching and will improve both our ecological impact and our residents’ access to fresh food.

Your donation will support the creation of these gardens and the affordable housing that is vital to the preservation of our tenants’ community and culture with the intention of positive impacts for all neighborhood residents.

UPDATE (10/01/2019) Now through 12/31/2019 your gift will be matched up to $10,000 for double impact! thanks to an anonymous donor and long-time supporter of Sabin CDC.

UPDATE (11/01/2019) Sabin CDC has teamed up with Willamette Weekly Give!Guide which may offer prizes and incentives while supplies last for donors.  In the spirit of local support, several amazing community partners are supporting this campaign as well: Case Study Coffee Roasters, Alberta Co-OpFlowers in Flightand Mr. Bobby.
