Sabin CDC is excited to share that we have several new AmeriCorps State and National positions opening this fall. These 11-month service roles are an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in Northeast Portland while gaining valuable experience in community development, outreach, and resident services.

AmeriCorps members at Sabin CDC will work closely with our team to support neighborhood engagement, environmental livability, and programming that strengthens community connections. These positions are ideal for individuals who are passionate about service, eager to learn, and ready to help us carry forward our mission of building vibrant, inclusive communities.

pOSTIONS aVAILABLE

sTRATEGIC eNERGY mANAGEMENT (1)

As a member of the Root to Rise team, the Community Engagement Member will help connect residents and the broader community to Sabin’s programs, events, and sustainability initiatives. This dynamic role focuses on event coordination, digital outreach, and partnership development to expand Sabin’s visibility and impact across the community.

rESIDENT sERVICES (1)

As a core member of Sabin’s Root and Rise team, you will work directly with residents to strengthen community connections, improve communication, and support sustainability initiatives. This resident-facing role focuses on engagement, education, and resource coordination to help foster a thriving and connected community.

Community Engagement(1)

As a member of the Root to Rise team, the Community Engagement Member will help connect residents and the broader community to Sabin’s programs, events, and sustainability initiatives. This dynamic role focuses on event coordination, digital outreach, and partnership development to expand Sabin’s visibility and impact across the community.

Enviormental Livability (1)

As a key member of the Building Fair Futures team, this position will play a leadership role within the Sabin CDC AmeriCorps team by guiding and supporting fellow members across their various positions. This primarily office-based  role focuses on advancing Sabin’s long-term environmental goals through education, outreach, and program coordination. You’ll lead efforts to promote climate resilience, regenerative landscaping, and energy awareness while supporting team collaboration and community engagement.

Invasive Species Removal (2)

As a key member of the Building Fair Futures team, you will  take an active role in protecting local ecosystems by identifying and removing invasive plant species. This hands-on position focuses on environmental stewardship, community engagement, and education. You’ll help restore native habitats while empowering residents to care for their environment.

Proactive Regenerative Landscaping (2)

As a key member of the Building Fair Futures team, you will enhance and maintain green spaces across Sabin properties and nearby areas. This hands-on role combines environmental stewardship with community engagement, focusing on native plant promotion, sustainable landscaping, and resident involvement.
